The Dal Soggio SPHERE New Heroes 65cc Cartridge Kit is a high-performance suspension upgrade developed specifically for young motocross and off-road riders using 65cc competition motorcycles.

Dal Soggio designed the SPHERE New Heroes platform to bring the front suspension of small-displacement youth motorcycles to a more advanced level of adjustability and hydraulic control while maintaining a strong focus on safety, predictability, and ease of setup.

The system was initially developed around the KTM 65cc platform and is also intended for compatible 65cc off-road motorcycles using the corresponding fork architecture.

One of the key strengths of the SPHERE New Heroes system is its broad external adjustment range.

The cartridge provides a 36-click compression adjuster and a 36-click rebound adjuster, allowing suspension behavior to be tuned precisely according to rider weight, skill level, track layout, terrain, and riding style.

The cartridge also incorporates an external spring preload adjustment mechanism with a total adjustment range of 10 mm. This allows the preload setting to be modified without internally disassembling the cartridge.

Two different hydrostop configurations are supplied with the kit:

• Red Hydrostop – Hard
• Blue Hydrostop – Soft

This gives the suspension technician an additional tuning option for the final portion of the fork stroke and allows the setup to be adapted to different rider requirements and track conditions.

The cartridge tubes are manufactured from aluminum and treated with a low-friction coating designed to reduce sliding resistance inside the system.

At the heart of the cartridge is a 20 mm internal piston CNC-machined from ERGAL 7075. The piston uses three oil passages for compression and rebound, designed to provide effective oil flow through the shim stacks.

The kit is supplied with 3.0 N/mm fork springs. Optional spring rates of 2.8 N/mm and 3.2 N/mm are also available, allowing the suspension setup to be adapted to different rider weights and requirements.

Compression & Rebound Adjustment

The SPHERE New Heroes system provides 36 clicks of compression adjustment and 36 clicks of rebound adjustment.

This wide adjustment range allows the fork to be adapted to different riding conditions and rider requirements.

Compression adjustment influences how the fork responds when it moves into its stroke, while rebound adjustment controls how quickly the suspension returns after compression.

For young riders, correct setup is particularly important because rider weight can vary significantly between competitors even within the same 65cc class.

External Spring Preload

The cartridge incorporates an external preload system providing up to 10 mm of spring preload adjustment.

This feature allows suspension technicians to modify the initial spring preload without replacing internal components, helping optimize front-end balance according to rider weight and riding conditions.

Dual Hydrostop System

The kit includes two hydrostop configurations:

Red – Hard
Provides the firmer hydrostop option.

Blue – Soft

Cartridge Construction

The SPHERE New Heroes cartridge tubes are manufactured from aluminum and feature a treatment designed to significantly reduce internal friction.

The internal piston is CNC-machined from ERGAL 7075 and measures 20 mm in diameter.

Compatibility must ultimately be determined from the actual fork platform fitted to the motorcycle.

This is especially important because 65cc motorcycles can undergo suspension-generation changes between model years even when the motorcycle model name remains unchanged.
