SPHERE 3.0 also uses a larger 36 mm compression piston, replacing the 28 mm configuration of the previous generation. The larger piston is designed to improve the linearity of the front fork’s hydraulic response throughout the suspension stroke.

Another important development is Dal Soggio’s Direct Flow Technology. The compression piston receives oil directly instead of through the previous Z-shaped internal passages, reducing unnecessary flow restriction and hydraulic stress inside the cartridge.

For Enduro riding, this combination is designed to improve front-end sensitivity and control over roots, rocks, ruts, braking bumps, loose surfaces, and technical terrain while maintaining sufficient hydraulic support during harder impacts.
