Inner Fork Bushing External PTFE – Kayaba 46 mm Athena

The Athena S41TE46K Inner Fork Bushing External PTFE is a replacement sliding bushing designed for compatible Kayaba / KYB 46 mm motorcycle front forks.

The bushing uses a high-strength steel body capable of withstanding the repeated mechanical loads generated during fork compression and rebound.

The external working surface is coated with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), a low-friction material designed to reduce sliding resistance and minimize wear between moving suspension components.

This low-friction interface helps the fork move more smoothly through its travel and contributes to maintaining consistent suspension response over time.

The inner side of the Athena bushing uses a copper coating, selected for its thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance. The copper layer helps distribute heat generated during suspension operation while providing additional protection against oxidation.
